The villa in Bastora was brought to us by a Client who himself sees oneself as an Artist, it therefore is a very interesting project where creative minds have
flowed together to arrive to decisions which best suited the site.
The site is atop the Bastora hill, a quiet neigbourhood which back in Portugese days was known for its literary culture. The Client wanted us to make spaces which dont only accomadate the habitation needs of him but to also create
possibilities of reviving the culture.
The House has two block, the old block which is 150 years old has influences of the indo Portugese Architecture which we have restored using the same old
principles and technique that were then used.
The new block which has been built on the footprint that existed responds tpo todays time with the space planning, construction techniques, and ecological
approch to building.
The carefull Amalgamation of materials is also quite distinguished by the blocks and therfore the experice too.
The site is underworks, happy to share its story so far.
